Working on a matchbox project, experiencing drawer's block...

We are working on a small project/waste of time that involves sending away to India to have illustrations turned into matchboxes. I just don't know what to do with this godamn thing from here though. New steel weights every month!!!!!!!

So we just picked this little fella up from Channo at CCAC in Oakland. It looks like it's perhaps been through a fire, but since it's a 400 pound steel mini-gorilla, it seems to have been unphased, aside from some burned leather on the handles of the wheel (not pictured.) We'll be sure to get right on top of actually making something with it by the end of February.

Food arting!

This is some homemade vanilla extract that I made with some vanilla bean and Maker's Mark®. Class.


When I really don't feel like drawing or making anything, and I'm also hungry, I think it's best to make an expensive cake. Peaches are just about done for the season, and I really love polenta done right. This thing is made out of almonds, peaches, and polenta, plus some other familiar ingredients.

This is the first screenprint ever made here and we love it no matter what.
